You're probably here because you want to get a sense if I'm someone you can work with, if I have the qualifications, and bottom line - if I am someone that can help you with your relationship or marriage.

You'll find all my qualifications (aka my resume...yawn) on the bottom of this page, but more importantly I want to give you a sense of who I am and why I know that I can be a great guide for you.

I have been there...that place in your relationship where times seem dark...and I have put in the work. So I know what it's like to enter a therapy room and immediately feel like crying, to be nervous, and excited (weird, I know, but yes, it really was exciting).

I worked with couples before my own experience. I saw the benefit intellectually, knew that I loved helping people be happy in their relationships. But I didn't TRULY understand. Going through my experience pushed me harder to learn EVERYTHING I could to best serve my clients and now I love what I do in a more profound way. Because of this I am now a fully certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist by the International Centre of Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy.

When you see me, expect to find me totally authentic; I don't believe in B.S. I want to work with people who want to work hard on understanding their impact on their partners and changing these old relationship patterns. We will laugh, and cry, I will make you feel safe. I'll help you learn about yourself and communicate with you partner. There is nothing we can't talk about. Arguing, disconnection, affairs, sex, money, issues with reproduction and family planning etc...I have heard it all. I know that this process of change takes time, I am patient and able to walk at your pace.

I have been working in the therapy world since 2008, and have been independently licensed as a psychologist since 2014. Over the years I become more and more specialized in couples, marriage, and relationship counseling and I am certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples. I have also been working with couples and individuals going through infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum journeys and am now happy to say that this is a subspecialty in my practice. I have worked in multiple areas of the country and my current office is set up in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Finally, I have taught continuing education for other therapists interested in learning more about couples counseling, and also provide one on one consulting to other therapists wanting to gain more confidence when seeing couples.

I am licensed as Rachel C. Orleck Lozano, Psy.D. in Washington State (PY60450189).

Let's begin our work together!
